Police appeal following Wigan assault

Police in Wigan are appealing for information following a serious assault of two men.

The two men were assaulted by three other males in the area of Scot Lane at around 5pm on Wednesday 6 November.

One of the male victims died but it is not known at this stage whether injuries from the assault are directly linked to his death.

Officers are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward and assist their investigation, particularly anyone who saw three men with baseball bats in the area of Scot Lane around this time.
