Man dies after crash in Wigan
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died following a road accident on Scholes, near Wigan town centre, at around 6am on Friday (23 February 2024).
It's understood that the man, 66, was travelling towards the town centre, before coming off the road and colliding with bollards and a wall.
The man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
