Bus route extended following community pressure
The Bee Network 362 bus has an extended route, following a request from a local residents group.
The first three and last services of the day will now go all the way to the Pepper Lane stop on Preston Road in Standish.
Last autumn, when Transport For Greater Manchester introduced extra buses between Wigan and Chorley, services only went as far as Standish police station.
Standish Voice welcomed the improvements, but asked that the buses start and end at the northern boundary of Standish to make it easier for people in Standish to catch the earliest trains to Manchester and Liverpool.
The requested changes have now been accepted, and the 362 service will start and end at Pepper Lane.
